BUSINESS

Business Service — Custom Package

Your business runs on the same fixed wireless network every Rural Net customer relies on; there's no separate "business-only" technology to worry about. What changes is what's built around it: static IPs, guaranteed speed, dedicated support, and a service level agreement sized to your operation, whether that's a single line handling phone and internet or connectivity spanning multiple towers. Talk to sales and we'll build the package around what you actually need.

WHAT OUR NEIGHBOURS SAY

COMMON QUESTIONS

Do I need a contract to sign up?

No. Rural Net does not use term contracts. If you're not happy, you can cancel without a cancellation fee.

How fast can I get installed?

Standard install lead time is 24 to 48 hours after we confirm coverage at your address. Emergency installs available in most areas.

Do you offer service where I live?

Rural Net covers Grey and Dufferin Counties from more than 65 towers. Enter your address in the coverage checker above, or call 1 (855) 557-8725 and we'll confirm in under five minutes.

Is fibre available at my address?

Rural Net's service is fixed wireless, not fibre to the home. Fixed wireless can work as well as, and even better than fibre. Fibre is simply a long extension cord for data. The other end must be plugged in — connected to a quality source of internet. Rural Net subscribes to many times more capacity than our subscribers use. When a dish fails, we can fix it in an hour or less, depending on the location. When a fibre line fails, in winter, it can take days to find, excavate, and repair.

Rural Net has 14 current fibre connections upstream for redundancy. If one or two fail, we can redirect traffic over other towers to keep service going. When you have just one fibre line to your home or business, the downtime after damage can be far more than acceptable.

Can I keep my current phone number?

Yes. Rural Net home phone service supports number porting. Most numbers transfer in three to five business days.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Call 1 (855) 557-8725. Free tech support during business hours. Emergency support is available 24/7 by phone. Most fixes happen within one business day.

Can I get internet at my cottage or secondary residence?

Yes. About 20% of our residential subscribers are cottage or secondary-residence accounts. Same plans, same installation, same local support.

Do you serve businesses?

Yes. Business plans include static IPs, guaranteed speed, dedicated support, and a service level agreement. Call sales at 1 (855) 557-8725 or email sales@ruralnet.ca.

What makes Rural Net different from Bell, Rogers, or Starlink?

We're locally owned in Flesherton. We hold a CRTC BITS licence. We use Canadian-made equipment. We have no term contracts and no cancellation fees. Our support team lives in Grey and Dufferin Counties. And we're the Gold Preferred ISP in Grey County per CommunityVotes.
